Proof Pilsen
Proof Pilsen is a creamy-bitter lager made in the style of a southern Bohemian Pilsner. The first commercial lagers were brewed in this region 160 years ago. In style it is somewhere between the creamy, nutty Budweiser Budvar and the bitter, fruity Pilsner Urquell. Proof Pilsen is cold-matured for up to six weeks for extra smoothness.

Proof Pilsen is made in small batches at the Meantime Brewing Company, Greenwich, and contains only malted barley, hops, water and Moravian yeast. Unlike almost every other bottled lager, Proof Pilsen is unpasteurised, for extra flavour.

Technical data: Plzen-style beer, 4.6% ABV. Cold-fermented with Bohemian yeast, cold-lagered for 4-6 weeks. 330 ml bottles. Brewed in small batches according to an original Plzen recipe, and in accordance with the German Purity Law.
